CHARLOTTE CALLAHAN GUTHEIL

Charlotte Callahan Gutheil, 103, left this world on Friday, February 13, 2026, to be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gutheil; parents, Jim and Lula Callahan; sister, Elizabeth Callahan; brothers, Jim Jr., Roscoe, Jack, and Cas “Bud” Callahan; niece, Beth Tipton; and stepson and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Virginia Gutheil.
She is survived by a loving family: stepdaughters, Carolyn Kilpatrick and Kathy (Jerry) George; grandchildren, Jeff (Dawn) Kilpatrick, Sally (Tracey) Kilpatrick, David (Julie) Gutheil, Jill (Greg) Malone, and Amy Schultz; as well as ten great grandchildren, Emma, Katie, and Angie Kilpatrick, Adam and Clair Gutheil, Joshua and Elizabeth Malone, Ella, Addie, and Isabella Schultz.
She was employed as a teacher by the Wise County School Board in Wise, Virginia. She was an active member of the following churches: Stonega Calvary Baptist, First Baptist of Appalachia, First Baptist of New Port Richey, Florida and First Baptist of West Carrolton, Ohio serving in the mission’s ministry, music ministry, children’s ministry, Sunday School teacher and on various committees.
A gathering of family and friends was held from 10 – 11 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at First Baptist Church, West Carrollton, Ohio. A funeral service followed at 11 am with Pastor Scott Wells officiating. Graveside services will be held 10 AM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Glencoe Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, Virginia with Nick Brewer officiating. Services are entrusted to GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church West Carrollton, Ohio or to Hospice of Dayton in Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family atwww.gebhartschmidtparramore.com.
