PUBLIC NOTICE - Boundary line adjustment between the Town of Pound and Wise County.

PUBLIC NOTICE

    The Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the School Board Education Center located on Lake Street in Wise, VA to receive citizens’ comments on a request from the Town of Pound for a boundary line adjustment between the Town of Pound and Wise County. The proposed boundary line may be established between the Town and the County to incorporate within the Town certain territory containing approximately 23.5 acres of land, owned by the Wise County School Board, being the site of the former Pound High School which is located off of Virginia State Route 83 in Pound, Virginia. In addition, a proposed boundary line may be established between the Town and the County to incorporate within the Town certain territory containing approximately 15 acres of land, owned by the Wise County School Board, being the site of the James W Adams Combined School which is located off U.S. Route 23 in Wise County, Virginia.
