Nelda Maurine “Moe” Davis Dennison took her last breath, but gained her healed body and her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Mom, Moe, Aunt Moe, Second Mom, or Grammy was known and loved by many for various reasons, but mainly for the love she poured out to everyone! Moe was born on August 6, 1942 in Stonega, VA to the late Forrest and Daisy Lambert, the 7 th of 11 children. She was a member of Stonega Calvary Baptist Church.

In 1961, Moe married the love of her life, SFC Arley Davis and became the perfect Army wife. Two children, Keith and Karen, and many deployments and army bases became her life for the next 15 years until Arley was called to his heavenly home in 1976. She enjoyed her years working at Appalachia Elementary School, and then later experienced the great joy of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Dennison family received friends Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at Roy A. Green Funeral Home. A funeral service was conducted at 1 pm with Rev. Rick Phillips officiating.
