EULA MAE TIPTON

Eula Mae Tipton, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Alamance Regional Hospital. 

Eula was born in Wise County VA., the daughter of the late John Wesley Lovell & Sally Estelle (Coomer) Lovell. Eula graduated from Powell Valley High School class of 1962. Eula had a love and passion for the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a devoted member of the "Church of God Prophecy" in Pennington Gap, VA / Hillsborough, NC. Eula married the love of her life, Richard, and was blessed with 51 years of marriage. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her siblings; Charles Lovell, T.J. Lovell, Bascom Lovell, Eva Lovell, Ana Scalf, and Shirley Johnson.

She is survived by her two sons; Bill Tipton & wife Susan of Abbeville, LA., Dean Tipton & wife Jennie of Burlington, N.C., grandchildren; Thomas Clinton Tipton & husband David Frazier, Kelli Waddell & husband John Paul, John Wesley Tipton, Franklin Richard Tipton & wife Carrie Ann Tipton, Faith Tipton & fiancée John Slivinski, great-grandchildren; Aiden Paul Waddell, Lily Ann Nicole Waddell, Kimberly Michelle Waddell, Aspyn Rose Tipton, Penelope Grace Tipton, and Iris May Slivinski. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holding Funeral Home. The service will be  conducted on Saturday at 12 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel with Rev. Chuck Cress officiating. Burial will follow in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. 

Family and friends will serve as pall bearers.
