GUY STEPHEN "STEVE" LITZ

Guy Stephen "Steve" Litz, 60, of Big Stone Gap, VA passed away Saturday August 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1963 in Ironton, a son of Mable Joan (Pieratt) Litz and the late Billy Otis Litz.
 
 He was a U S Army Veteran and worked in the maintenance department at Ridge Crest Nursing Home. He was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and making knives. He loved being a clown and making everyone laugh.
 
 Besides his mother, Steve is survived by his fiancée, Jonna Ballengee; a son Gabriel Litz and fiancée Katie of Oregon; a daughter, Amanda Dalley of Colorado; a brother, Billy Litz and wife Benita of Portsmouth; a sister Susan Adams and husband Ted of Wheelersburg; a special daughter Christina Hounshell and husband Andrew, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 
 Funeral Services were held  Thursday August 15, 2024 at the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) in Sciotoville, OH with Pastor Sam Cooke officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military Graveside Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion.
