TERESA ANN DAVIDSON

Teresa Ann Davidson, age 64, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center after an unexpected decline in her health.  Teresa was born on June 7, 1959 in Appalachia, VA.  She graduated from Appalachia High School in 1977, and dedicated her life to nursing at St. Mary’s and Norton Community hospitals, where she taught childbirth classes for many years.  She loved babies and children and all animals.  Over the years, Teresa gifted countless children with holiday and birthday treats, and supplied many newborns with clothing and other necessities. Teresa was a loving fur mother to her dogs Angel, Belle and Tori. She also loved crafts of all kinds.  She was an avid crocheter.   Teresa spent her last years as a resident of Colonial Hill Retirement Center in Johnson City, TN where she lived among many wonderful friends and a loving staff family including Lindsey, Nicolette, Sherri, Jennifer, Alena, Joan, Wendy, Sabrija, Etta, Sharon, Ginger and many more past and present.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Emry and Shirley Caldwell Davidson and her grandparents, John and Mattie Davidson, and Garland and Ella Caldwell.

 
Teresa Davidson is survived by her brother Keith Davidson and his wife Maria, and nephew, Ben Davidson, all of Piney Flats, TN and her beloved dog, Tori.  Also surviving are uncles Raymond (Beulah) Davidson of Arno, VA, and Wendell Caldwell of Big Stone Gap, VA, as well as several cousins. Others left to mourn her passing are her sister-in-heart, Nancy Cooper and husband Jerry, as well as their children Nicole (Jay), Preston (Jana), and their granddaughter, Jill. Also included are special friends, Gail Harkleroad, Carletta Fannon, and Maddy Farnor, and special cousins Cathy Vernon and Robyn Gilliam.

Graveside services were conducted at 2 pm Wednesday May 15, at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens cemetery officiated by Rev. David Rose. In lieu of flowers, Teresa would be honored by a small donation made to your local Humane Society or any charity benefiting children.  Roy A.
