KINNESS ‘JEANIE’ BOOHER

Kinness “Jeanie” Booher, age 76, of Rogersville, TN, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.

Born June 10, 1947, to the late William and Beula Hawkins, Sr., Jeanie devoted her life to being a loving and overprotective daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Jeanie loved spending time with her loved ones grilling and playing video games. She was very talented and enjoyed drawing, crafting and woodworking in her spare time. Jeanie was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, who also enjoyed listening to thunderstorms, dancing and watching horses in the field. Jeanie was the owner and operator of Country K-9 Grooming for two decades. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Venus Miller; and three beloved dogs, Foxy, Sweet Pea and Tank.

Survivors include her cherished husband of thirty nine years, James “Jim” Booher; three sons, Roy Miller, Jason (Amy) Farlow and Kevin (Ashley Pittman) Farlow; four daughters, Susan (John) Pavlaras, Debbie (Chuck Cumbee) Thomas, Julie Miller and Dawn Peyton (Bill) Ricketts; one brother, Billy (Patti) Hawkins, Jr.; one sister, Judy (Mike) White; five grandchildren, Ashley Thomas, Madison (James Reimer) Thomas, Abigail Ricketts, Morgan Thomas and Michael Farlow; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Cheyanne; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Holding Funeral Home of Big Stone Gap, VA on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 6 p.m., with Bro. Michael Riebe officiating. The family will receive visitors, at the funeral home, from 4 p.m. until time of services.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center, the Oncology Department of Indian Path Hospital and the staff of Holston Valley Medical Center for all their kindness and loving care shown during this difficult time.
