EDNA C. PHILLIPS

Proverbs 31:10-31

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies."

Edna C. Phillips, age 86, passed on to be with the Lord, on Thursday January 4, 2024.

Edna was born in Wise County, Virginia, the daughter of the late: Claude Humbert and Margaret (Fritz) Humbert she was one of four children. Growing up and living her entire life in Big Stone Gap, she loved these mountains and all her friends and acquaintances in "The Holler". She unfortunately was widowed at an early age, and dedicated the rest of her life to her family. She enjoyed the comforts of her home and in her own solace. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her true love husband, Mr. Jimmie J. Phillips , her son, Jimmie Phillips Jr. grandson David Williams, three sisters, Betty Smith, Judy Humbert, and Patricia Barnette.

Left to cherish her memory and legacy are children: Cindi Arnette (Kenny), Theressa Phillips, & Claude Allen Phillips (Maggie), her beloved grandchildren; Amy, Rick, Ross, Natasha,Ariel, & Nick, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends, to numerous to count.

The family of Edna will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2023 at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap (17 E. 3rd. St) for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. In Holding Funeral Home's chapel. A committal service will be held in Glencoe Cemetery, following on Saturday, where she will be laid to rest by her husband.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
