County sees 23 new cases

Wise County reported 23 new COVID-19 cases between March 14 and Tuesday.

According to Virginia Department of Health statistics, the county’s total number of cases since spring 2020 was 14.020 as of Tuesday, compared to 13,997 one week earlier.
Wise County’s total number of COVID deaths remained at 237.

The health department recently modified its reporting methods on COVID statistics, presenting information updates less frequently. County-by-county case counts and related statistics are no longer being updated daily.
