PAUL KELLEY JR.

Paul Lawrence Kelley, Jr, age 76, of Big Stone Gap, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Lonesome Pine Hospital.

Paul was born in Big Stone Gap, the son of the late Paul and Kathleen (Templeton) Kelley. He was one of 6 children. Paul enjoyed fishing , watching Nascar, and wood crafting. He was married to the love of his life for 60 years. Paul was a member of Cedar Ridge Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Everett Kelley and one sister, Ruby Mae Collins.

Left to cherish his memory, his lifetime loving wife of 60 years, Evelyn Kelley of the home; children, Allen Lawrence Kelley of Big Stone Gap, Matthew Samuel Kelley of Big Stone Gap, Aaron Allen Kelley and wife Amanda of Bluff City, Tn; grandchildren, Emily Kelley, Wesley Kincaid and wife Rachael of Bluff City, Tn, Warren Kincaid of Bluff City, Tn, Kortney Chase and husband Adam of Kingsport, Tn, Jordan Kelley of Kingsport, Tn, Ashley Sturgill and husband Joseph of Big Stone Gap, Hailey Kelley of Pound, Va; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Lennox, and Henry; brother, David Kelley and wife Judy of Big Stone Gap; sisters, Pearlie Murray of Big Stone Gap and Beulah Davidson and husband Raymond of Big Stone Gap; several nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Holding Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Friday, March 17, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow in Glencoe Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
