BARBARA SUE MCELYEA HALL

Barbara Sue McElyea Hall, 76, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the home of her daughter in the Jasper Community of Duffield, Va.

She lived most of her life in the Jasper Community area. Barbara loved sewing, gardening and cooking. She was a member of West End Baptist Church in Big Stone Gap.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit L. Hall, Sr.; her parents, James and Ada (Smith) McElyea; and a brother, Roger McElyea.

Surviving are her daughter, Vicki Hubbard (Mark), Duffield, Va.; sons, Kermit Hall, Jr. of Kentucky, Mark Hall (Angel), Big Stone Gap, Keith Hall (Loretta), Norton, Va., and Trey Hall (Sierra), Wise, Va.; twelve grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Brycen and Logan Hall, Ryan, Cody, Aaron, Nate, Emma and Anna Hubbard, Lilly and Taylor Hall, and Eden Hall; siblings, Charles McElyea (Kathy), Darlene Gallihar, Kathy Swiney and James McElyea (Doris), all of Big Stone Gap, and Della Shupe, Rockville, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Barbara’s request, a private family service was conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the West End Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Tompkins officiating.

Burial followed in Powell Valley Cemetery, Dryden, Va.
