Sue B. (Dorton) Dickenson

Sue B. (Dorton) Dickenson, 94, of Appalachia, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at her home. 

Sue was the former owner/operator of Sue’s Dress Shop and Brook’s Accounting. 

She was preceded in death by husbands, C.P. Dorton and Arthur Dickenson; daughter, Leanne Fogarty; three sisters, Pat Sturgill, Jane Miller, Judy Agrifoglio; brother, Ed “Buddy” Brooks Jr.

Sue is survived by her son, Patrick Dorton of Morristown, TN; sister, Peggy Black of Austin, TX; brother, Joe “Bucky” Brooks of Big Stone Gap; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 11 am to 1 pm Sunday, August, 21 at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home in Appalachia with services following at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Billy McDonald. Burial followed at the American Legion Cemetery.
