Prayer List: Praise God!  Wilma James is home from recent hospitalization and rehab. Beulah Collier,  Randy Johnson, Sharon Hood, Angel Fitzgerald, change in leadership of Holston Conference, those affected by COVID,   those affected by hurricane Ida and earthquake in Haiti, Thelma Gilley,  crisis in Afghanistan and families of those who died in service to the USA,  Connie Kilgore, Cindy Foley, Mike Norris,  Ron and Nell Lothry, Tracey Hilton,  Roy and Dorothy Hamilton, those traveling, those unsaved,  Bette Pache and her caretaker sister Gloria Gilbert, Parilee Poole, unsaved, Our world, nation, state, Margaret Helvey, those who are care givers for others, veterans, Larry Midkiff, Jim McKenzie, military and their families, Christy Chandler, Sheila Green,   jobs for those that need them,  those returning to society after imprisonment; those in slavery, unspoken requests,  shut ins and those in nursing homes, those dealing with addiction and their loved ones.

Saturday night was a lovely evening for the Academy of Performing Art’s 2020 (postponed by the pandemic) Show Stoppers-Ballet Under the Stars at the June Tolliver Playhouse. The girls reported having a good time providing the evening’s entertainment.  Looking forward to the 2021 show!

Sunday Rev. Sean Bailey shared the word at Legion Memorial United Methodist Church and on Facebook. No need to have a Facebook account to enjoy to message at https://www.facebook.com/LegionChurch/ .  From   in a sermon titled “It’s all in your head” Sean described the spiritual warfare which takes place for control of our minds which influences our behaviors based on 1st Corinthians 10:3-6.  

The Legion Memorial United Methodist Church Picnic will be Sunday Sep 19 at Bullitt Park all day at the first shelter, come when you can as long as you can.  The plan is for Rev. Sean Bailey to share the Word prior to eat having the meal about 2:00.  Rain plan is to gather at the church.

Fall Festival will be Saturday Oct 23 at Legion Memorial United Methodist Church will need to be rescheduled.  The new kitchen cabinets are coming that week!
