VIRGINIA HELEN “JENNY” PATTERSON

Virginia Helen “Jenny” Patterson, 77, of Chesapeake, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021.

Born in Wise County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Hattie Fletcher.  She was also predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Henry David Patterson, MD; a sister, Georgia Fletcher “Nell” Dalton, and a brother, Charles Fletcher. 

She was a graduate Keokee High School and later graduated from Virginia Intermont College.  She was the owner of Evergreen Garden Center for more than 20 years.  Jenny will be remembered for her love of gardening, scrapbooking, gathering with friends and family, watching the Price is Right, daytime soaps and Fox News!        

Survivors include her children, Keli Harnage and husband Nicholas, John Patterson and wife Amy, and Chelisa Patterson; two granddaughters, Ashlynn and Kourtney Harnage; sister, Margaret Absher, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 14 at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia H. Patterson Memorial Fund, for the benefit of the ALS Foundation, to honor the memory of her late husband, Dr. Henry Patterson.  www.tmcfunding.com
