Margaret Elizabeth Lane

Margaret Elizabeth Yost Lane, of Big Stone Gap, gained her heavenly wings, Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 12:12 a.m., she passed at her home after a lengthy illness. 

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Lane; two granddaughters, Jenny Aistrop and Mandy Lane. 

Margaret is survived by eight children, Sue (Johnny) Aistrop of Appalachia, Donnie (Brenda) Lane of Jenison, AL., Brenda (Jerry) Hurd of Big Stone Gap, Rev. Leonard (Kathy) Lane of Big Stone Gap, Arnold (Claudia) Lane of Duffield, Wayne (Glenda) Lane of St. Paul, Tammy (Chris) Taylor of Big Stone Gap, and Paula Lane of Big Stone Gap; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; one sister Shirley Harris; and her caretaker Phyllis Beverly; and a host of extended family and friends. 

Private family visitation from 12:00 to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 1 at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Leonard Lane and Rev. Chris Lane officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
