Park will not host Halloween events

October 08, 2020

BIG STONE GAP — The town has decided against hosting Halloween events at Bullitt Park this year.

Town Manager Steve Lawson spoke to council about the decision during the Oct. 6 council workshop.

The town usually has a haunted house and gives out candy at the park. Candy will be given out on Halloween at the Visitor Center during the regular business hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Lawson stated that households that plan on participating in trick-or-treating should turn on their lights, but he asked that trick-or-treaters not go to houses that don’t have exterior lights on.
