September 16, 2020

Big Stone Gap — The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will host a September Lunch on the Lawn music program on Friday, September 25 at 12 p.m., featuring The General Store Jammers.

The Jammers are led by Dawn Bays and her husband Dr. Roger Bays. The General Store Jammers love to play mountain music of all kinds from old time fiddle tunes, bluegrass, original songs, country classics, or even traditional gospel hymns. Members of the General Store Jammers are Les Bailey on bass, Larry Mullins strums guitar, Joey O’Quinn picks banjo, Dawn plays fiddle and Roger plays mandolin. Other musicians often join in on the fun as well.
The September Lunch on the Lawn event is free and open to the public. Visitors may bring their own lunch. A food truck for the event will be named at a later date.

Participants are required to social distance between those not in the same household. Face coverings are required if you enter the museum for any reason during your visit. In case of inclement weather the event will be canceled.
