Lunch on the Lawn returns July 3

The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will host its first event in the weekly “Lunch on the Lawn” series Friday, July 3 at 12 p.m., featuring Richard Phillips.

Richard Phillips is a local acoustic musician and singer/songwriter. He has performed at Natural Tunnel’s Lighting of the Tunnel and its Candlelight Series as well as Lunch on the Lawn at the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park. He has played at Mountain Empire Community College Home Craft Days for the past 25 years. Richard continues to perform regularly at various events and festivals in Virginia and surrounding states.

The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public. Visitors may bring their own lunch. GetFed food truck will also be providing their delicious tacos, taco salads, wings, hot dogs and other menu items at this Lunch on the Lawn
