DAVID WAYNE WILLIAMS

David Wayne Williams, 38, of Mt. Carmel TN/ Big Stone Gap, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

David was born on August 22, 1981 in Wise County, Virginia. He graduated high school class of 2000 from Powell Valley High. He was a member of the Powell Valley Viking’s Marching Band, where he played the drums. He loved fishing. He enjoyed spending many good times with his fiancé Brittany Haines on the Lake. He had a wonderful heart, full of compassion. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father; James Harold Williams Jr. and his uncle Jimmy Jay Phillips.

He is survived by his fiancé Brittany Haines, his mother, Theressa Jean Phillips, brothers; Ross Phillips, Jamie Williams, Dustin Williams, his sister, Angie Westmoreland, and his very special niece Kylee Noel Phillips, several other close relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 10 at Holding Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m.

Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 11 in Glencoe Cemetery.
