Sherri L. Leonard

Sherri L. Leonard, 55, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at her home in Jonesborough, TN.

Sherri was born on the 30th of October, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Coy and Barbara Leonard. Sherri graduated from McNicholas High School, Cincinnati Ohio, later obtaining her degree in Business Management after attending the University of Cincinnati and Florida Atlantic University. She spent her career in the financial and hospitality management industries and worked for Rockbridge Hotel Development (RBHD) out of Columbus, Ohio as a Director of FF&E. Sherri loved being around her family and spending time with her two Yorkshire Terriers, CoCo and Louis, when she was not traveling for work. Sherri was a compassionate and giving person who always put other interests before her own.

Sherri is survived by her husband, Melvin G. Carroll, of Jonesborough, TN, her parents, Coy and Barbara Leonard, of West Chester, Ohio, a brother, Mark D. Leonard of West Chester, Ohio, two-step children, Natasha Carroll of Dyke Virginia, and Christina Marion, of Carthage, North Carolina, and a special aunt, Beverly Johnson of Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

Her paternal and maternal grandparents, Coy and Leona Leonard, of Appalachia, Virginia and Robert and Gracie Johnson of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, precede Sherri in death.

A private family ceremony will be held on October 29, 2019 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, 5650 Powell Valley Road, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219.
