Hoots ‘N’ Haints Family Festival

October 20, 2021

Big Stone Gap — The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will present the annual Hoots ‘N’ Haints Family Festival on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 5-8 p.m. Children 12 and under, and their families, are invited to the front lawn of the museum for lots of activities and games.

On Halloween night, we’re calling all trick-or-treaters to take a break from your candy gathering and visit the museum for some ghoulish fun and games. There will be scary stories, a gypsy fortune teller, pumpkin bowling, monster bingo, mummy races, pick up the pumpkin, the “Haunted Moat,” and much more. Prizes will be awarded for game winners as well as participants.

Admission to events at the Hoots ‘N’ Haints Family Festival is free. All children 12 and under will receive enough free tickets to play every game. Free refreshments will be available all evening. For more information, please call the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park at 276/523-1322.

The park will comply with the state Covid 19 regulations in place at the time the program is offered.
