The Appalachia Main Street business association presented a check to its first recipient of the new Business Boost program, Paradise City Plaza. This program has been formed to give a $500 boost to help any new full-time business that locates in Appalachia with its opening expenses. Three small businesses will be located inside the plaza at 540 West Main Street: Gypsy Heart Designs, Guitar World and Mystic Clothing and More. Also, the building will hold a stage for music performances. The group hopes to add a couple more businesses to this mini-mall type location. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PHOTO
