MEOC expects increase in fuel fund requests

Ninety-two-year-old Christina Harris of Gate City is one of the more than 1,000 older residents in MEOC’s three-county service who received assistance from the Emergency Fuel Fund for the Elderly last winter. The fuel fund program will begin a new season November 1 and donations are still needed.
